La la la

I've caught up with the current crop of bills! (Thanks to latest temp assignment plus Fed tax refund.)

Also: washed floors in kitchen & bathroom, shook rugs and walked to the nearest strip mall where I ran a few errands.

Art accomplishment: 2 new, single-loop bookmarks! (I'm about half done with the first of my commissioned illos.)

For me

I don't expect anyone else to be that interested, but, after writing out checks to cover my current bills, I decided I could afford a couple non-necessities:

I went to Amazon.com and ordered the Large Print version of the Rise Up Singing book! (Yay! for relief from eye strain!) Also a couple other used books I've been interested in: He, She & It by Marge Piercy and The God Gene.

Then I went to Joanne Fabrics and bought some pretty ribbons! (For bookmarks, of course) and a few accent beads. (A few each of lampwork and dichroic glass).

Today's discovery: 20 seconds in a microwave makes Fig Newtons that were slightly stale go soft, warm and gooey. Mmmm good!
