I wish I had an answer for you. If you were in Mpls; I've got futon on the porch where you could crash at least temporarily. I don't know anything about the Portland area. Have you looked further afield? Seattle maybe?

I think I will be able to get one here- it's just that today is Sunday, no one is open, and I'm supposed to be out by midnight. I know I can't do it- I'm just sad that it looks like I'll have an official eviction on my record....which will make it near impossible to rent in future.
I will get through this! I just feel so alone and beat up right now. I thank you for all of your help and thoughtfulness. Just staying in touch and knowing people are there helps. :)

I had a thought last night- to just put everything in storage ($100/mo) and come home for a month until my apt. is ready. I did find one- at a smaller complex- that is only $625!! for a 2 bd townhouse!! and they liked me....it just won't be available until Nov 1st. I'm so stressed I can't tell if that's a good idea or just wishful.

Temp storage sounds like a great idea to take care of your stuff until you've got a place. In the meanwhile you'd have more choices: visit home, or friends in other cities, check for things like YMCA or other short-term lodgings.
