I've recently returned from going with Carolyn to the Kitty Klinic where Stumpy was put to sleep. Carolyn was too overcome to stay with him while they put the needle in, so I stood in for her. I petted his head, and soothed him while the vet and clinicians arranged him on the table and inserted the needle. He'd been lethargic up until then, was weak from the Leukemia, and didn't put up any resistance; he even gave my hand a little lick before he settled into his long sleep. I'd given him catnip before we set off. He was gone by the time the needle was withdrawn again. I shed a few tears.

Afterwards we stopped at Kinko's so I could make some copies of the 'Missing' poster I'd made for Tagster. Kinko's had changed their self-serve system so that you have to prepay for a kind of copy-debit card. I got frustrated, accidentally spending $1.06 of my $2.00 budget on a color copy when I'd only wanted black & white. When I got on the right machine the posters came out on orange paper, but I decided that would be just as well for attracting notice to them. I plan to go out this afternoon and distribute them around the neighborhood.

Carolyn brought me home from Kinko's, with a stop on the way at the Hostess outlet that was having its Bargain Day. She bought a whole lot of Ding Dongs and I got seven of the fruit pies for a mere $2. She hadn't eaten all day and I offered her some casserole when we got to my place, but she just wanted some coffee and the Ding Dongs. She had a Math class and a Doctor's appointment still coming up today, and had to be home by eleven, but was called away earlier, even before she could finish her coffee - to give a sister a ride to work.

I've been watering plants, washing dishes and taking out garbage since then. I just stopped to make my call back to Ameriquest, but the person I need to talk to about refinancing was on the line with someone else. I'm awaiting his call back, and after that plan to set out to distribute Tag's posters.
