It's a chill damp morning today: a drizzle of rain; snow and ice lingering in shadowed corners of the yard. I had to drive downtown and will have to pay for parking today; the person I was pooling with is on vacation. I stayed home yesterday with a stuffy ear that's been bothering me for days. It's a bit better today, but I'm still feeling overly vulnerable to the damp weather.

There have been several more house showings in the past week, and I've set up an appointment, through Feline Rescue, to get Twinkler and Skipper neutered at the end of the month. I've had to pay for the operation in advance, but it's at a considerable discount. I've also scanned a few items of art and been looking at formatting some ads for the Minicon program book. I'm growing impatient for the material to be fully assembled and edited so that I can get on with the layout, which looks like a challenge and may take some time; I don't want to be waiting until the last minute with people breathing down my neck.

I've been meditating most days, but seldom twice a day, which is best. I'm still feeling confused about long-term goals. I have strong ideas about creative projects I want to do, but there seems to be a huge gulf between the ideas and the doing: a gulf in which the only things I feel capable of are the day to day habits of survival and simple distractions.

Tonight there's a music circle; I hope my ear is clear enough not to affect my participation.
