Just so as not to alarm you, I will tell you in advance that the bunny survives.

This morning (before thorintatge and I went on an expedition to the State Fair) Skipper brought in another rabbit! It was very much alive, and they both went dashing all around the place, with Skipper hot on the bunny trail, sometimes catching it and managing to hold it for a minute.

Finally, the bunny took refuge back behind my computer (which is housed in a cupboard under my desk; the door of which had been standing open. I closed it.) Skipper stalked all around and kept trying to get in, but couldn't, so I figured it was safe enough to leave it there while we went off to the fair.

After we got back from the fair I pulled out the computer and poked back in there with part of a curtain rod, and urged the bunny forth until I could grab it. It had lost a big patch of skin and fur off its back, but looked otherwise unhurt, (It was still kicking hard enough) so I took it outside and let it go (with a little advice). Skipper was very disappointed.
