I made a bit more progress yesterday in clearing some clutter out of the back bedroom.

I discovered more printer paper than I knew I had, sorted out a whole boxful of pens and pencils (half the pens didn't work and half the pencils had no eraser.) I threw out a lot of out-dated catalogs. Today I need to call IKEA since I still haven't heard back on my emailed inquiry. I'd really like to give them money in exchange for those shelves, if only we can arrange it.

Sunshine! It was over forty degrees out today! Sunny! Seemed like spring. I did the grocery shopping, stopped at the post office, (getting the phone and insurance checks in the mail) took out the garbage. I went out without a coat! Lots of exclamation points! That's what sunshine does to me!

Sam sent me her new soup menu and I updated her soup site.

I still hadn't heard back regarding the failure of IKEA's website to process my zip code, so I finally called them on the phone. (After googling unsuccessfully for a better deal on equally nice shelves). I discovered that if I ordered by phone the shipping cost would be over $300, whereas, if I went back to the store and paid to have the same items delivered the delivery cost would only be about $50. I actually did pretty well in math, so I went back to the store, enlisted employee help at getting things off the shelves that were too heavy for me to lift alone, and paid the delivery charge. The new shelves are due to be delivered tomorrow.

I expect to be putting together shelves tomorrow.
