Whoah; here it is. I just have today to get ready for Marscon, and it looks like there's another big snow coming at the same time.

I've already got the laundry going, have washed the dishes and have a chicken in the oven to roast. That last may seem odd for eight a.m.ish, but it also seems that the heat has gone off again. I was planning to roast the chicken today anyhow, and now it can help warm things until the landlady gets here.

I'm aiming to get all the weekend chores out of the way before the convention - since I won't have time during. I'll also need to collect all the stuff for my dealer table and make sure everything's in good shape. And then there'll be shoveling.

The landlady was due to come over this morning anyway, to check on the bathroom faucet, which has gradually reduced its flow to a mere trickle. Now I can tell her about the furnace at the same time. How convenient. :)

So far:
* two loads of laundry
* change linens on bed
* wash dishes
* roast chicken
* call landlady re: furnace (now working again)
* water plants
* gather art prints, make inventory for dealer's room
* assemble display materials
* check bookmarks, iron as needed
* iron tablecloth

Yet to do:
* Pack Mr. Bento with tomorrow's lunch
* Make sugarless chocolate treat
* Check artwork for Art Show
* shovel
* shovel some more
* check on Sarah's cat
* load car
(not necessarily in that order)

As many of you have noticed, it's snowing out there. I woke up to a fresh dusting, and for a while it looked like the main storm would hold off long enough that I could get out and run some errands. But before noon it was snowing hard and even now the air is thick with it, blowing and drifting and filling in all the paths that we shoveled clear just a few days ago.

I'm planning to go out with a shovel before too long and start the project of clearing the walks and freeing my car again. But I wonder what's the use when it will probably have to be redone again tomorrow morning? How long do I wait so that my work will make an actual difference and it will be that much easier to get things cleared up tomorrow morning so that I can get out to the convention?
