Yay! I put nice new Martin strings on my mandolin. This gives me a little time to break them in before Minicon. (Brand new strings always sound just a little too brassy to me.)

I also called my landlady to let her know that the laundry room sinks haven't drained yet since last time I checked (the sink was overflowing when I did laundry on Sunday, and is still half full). I've poked at the drain with a long stick, but am not prepared to put my arm in that water. :P
