It looks like another beautiful spring morning: sunshine, clear skies, green leaves on most of the trees now.... I'd better take the recycling out to the curb. (As I see my neighbors have done.)

Tor is seeking...a detail-oriented individual to assist the Editorial
department in various tasks, with an emphasis on fantasy and science
fiction. Responsibilities include: writing flap copy and catalog copy,
reading and evaluating manuscripts, as well as performing general
administrative duties. Excellent written, verbal and computer skills
required. A background of reading Fantasy & Science Fiction stories
and novels necessary, extensive background reading a plus. Minimum of
1 year previous editorial experience necessary.

On the day AFTER the Banquet -- Sunday, May 13th -- all of
you living within reach of New York City are invited to join me for a
bring-your-own-whatever picnic in Central Park. Assuming we aren't
rained out, it will start at 11 AM and last a couple of hours.

Location? The open lawn immediately between the Great Lawn and
Belvedere Lake, AKA the Turtle Pond.

Theme? *Celebration*, of course -- either of winning that darned Nebula
(dream on, Beagle), or of the simple gift of good company.
