laramie at 03:56pm on 03/01/2008On the plus side, I checked back with Adecco today. On the minus, their computers are down and they could not confirm receipt of my records from the old Olstens office or do anything to update them.
On the plus side, I checked Craig's list and found a few ads it seemed worthwhile to respond to with my resumes. One for an online production assistant, two for admin assistant.
I also made use of a critique I won at MFW's Holiday Auction. I sent my 30 pages and synopsis to the pro writer who donated the critique and am hoping for some really useful feedback.
On the minus, I've been dragging my heels over doing today's transcription.
On the plus side I made a few new bookmarks yesterday (?) and sorted out a lot of mixed glass beads.
On the minus: Twenty-two of the flyers from my initial mailing (of 102) have come back to me with messages like 'forward time exp retn to send' and 'not deliverable as addressed.' I'm feeling kind of down about that. I'd thought my mailing list was reasonably well researched. It's just hard to tell how current the info is online.
On the plus: I got outside today and actually caught a little sunshine - even if it was only for long enough to make a grocery run. I also picked up some more licorice tea (I ran out!) which is very good, and bought a frozen burrito, which was very good (lots of black beans and rice) when I nuked it and added some mozzarella and garlic salt.
