I started a new day job [temp] on Wednesday, which is why I haven't posted since then. They've kept me pretty busy. In three days I've produced a newsletter, a news sheet, two posters, a tri-fold brochure and a Powerpoint presentation.
It's interesting to see the inner workings of a fairly large church. The office has a permanent staff who've all been very friendly. There are a lot of communications to produce because there are a lot of programs and activities for the congregation. Musical groups, book discussion groups, prayer groups, youth groups, etc. There's an art fair the weekend of the 14th.
It looks like religious communities try to provide for their congregations what non-religious people try to provide through social welfare programs.
