Saturday night, I'm getting ready for sleep when a neighbor knocks on the door and asks if that's my car parked out front. I say yes, and she tells me that she just saw a car side-swipe mine and go racing off around the corner.
I don't actually go out to look at it until the next day, but when I did I found a very large, deep dent behind the rear driver's-side tire, and part of the rear bumper coming loose. I am able to drive; there doesn't seem to be anything affecting the wheel itself. But I'm stuck with the dent. I can't deal with this. I can't afford to pay a deductible even if I report it to the insurance company.
