Laundry day! I've got two loads in their dryers now. The laundry machines are back in place, but the walls of the room are covered with black plastic sheeting since the sheet rock was torn out last week. I'm not sure how long it will stay this way.

The renovation is part of dealing with water leakage from ice dams last winter. They are taking it in turns to work on the laundry rooms on each of the three floors. I suspect they found mold and will need to come back here put in new insulation and sheet rock.

The work-in-progress conditions still beat going to the laundromat. I went there last Monday and it cost me as much to wash and dry one load as our home laundry costs to do two. Not to mention the convenience of having the facilities right down the hall.

Meanwhile, last night's filk circle went well. Nate, Lisa and Benjamin joined us, so we had a full house (thanks for hosting, Dreamshark!) and full choruses. I played the Randy Rainbow video, "Cheeto Christ, Stupid Czar,"
as found filk, while people were setting up. LOL.

We played and sang a lot of favorites; Nate played a number new to me. Among other things we did 'You Can't Stop Me from Singing' and 'My God How the Money Rolls In' - both contain references to being paid by people who want us to stop singing. I suggested that we explore this option further.

I brought along a pan of enchiladas and we had a hearty stew, a spicy-fried chicken, deviled eggs and a turkey-tortellini salad as well. This was the first time I'd tried making enchiladas - note for next time: do not bake them on a layer of aluminum foil. The wheat tortillas stuck to it, making it difficult to scoop from the pan. I only use it in hopes of making clean up easier, but no. OTH, they tasted great.
