WEEK OF Dec 25 - January 1, 2023

Christmas week was a busy one. On Christmas Day I went to visit Terry, bringing her an assorted nut mix for a present and visited her again on Friday. On Boxing Day I returned to the DMV and finally succeeded in transferring the title on Denny's old van! Since then I had a new battery installed in the van and have been looking at potential buyers. Meanwhile, I've been keeping up with bills and regular household tasks. I pretty much skipped New Year's Eve, going early to bed, but waking up to the new year with clean laundry and all the trash having been taken out.

On Saturday evening we had a fun filk circle; only half a dozen people, but good fellowship and plenty of seasonal songs with a fannish twist. The potluck was good, with stir fry, fresh fruit and lentil soup. I brought along a bucket of chicken, but left to drive slowly home in the dark through a light mix of slippery rain and snow.
