New yen

I've decided I want one of these:

I've become concerned about reducing my carbon footprint, this seems like a big improvement over driving a mile to get to the nearest Whole Foods store to get groceries, or for other relatively small errands. Not only saving on gas, but getting me some exercise. At least when the weather's decent.

It might also be worthwhile going somewhere else other than Whole Paycheck ;)

I frequently walk the mile and change, or take my regular bike. It does mean more frequent trips, but no biggie

I like it; I know we were watching people walk away from the Grocery Store when we were there picking up milk & Aurora asked if we could walk to the grocery store next time we want to shop there - I said the stores we go to are too far ; which is true, but there's some more expensive ones we could walk to: but there's no pedestrian bridge, so it's irksome to walk with 2 kids & groceries if one has to cross Penn Ave.

But I think it's a great idea to not drive for every little errand! If we all did this, it would really significantly cut back on gas usage!
