Ah, Minnesota

Sixty-six degrees out and people in t-shirts and shorts are lined up at the Dairy Queen.

I've still got my sweater on, but I'm feeling a little under the weather. I'm not sure if it's a cold or seasonal allergy, but my nose has been stuffy and the NyQuil/Dayquil equivalents haven't been having their usual good effect.

I got some sunshine, though, and that was delightful. I also finished reading Tomb of the Golden Bird, (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] cakmpls! I'll return it at the next opportunity.) I will be sad if that's the last we hear of Amelia Peabody and family, but it does offer a good explanation as to why history does not record their involvment with the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb.

It's 47F in Virginny and my heat pump is dead! Fortunately, the condo is staying over 65F. Our really good ice cream place opened up for the season last month, but I'd be surprised if they were open today. It's an outdoor place and we got 2" of rain today. Now we're supposed to have more rain with lots of wind.

47! That's odd, isn't it? I'd expect it to be colder here than there.

The weather guy had a swoopy arrow coming down below MN, bringing storms and cold to the southern parts of the US. He says that's happening more often.

It does seem like odd weather is getting to be more the rule than the exception.

The winds brought down a lot of trees overnight and just about emptied my feeder onto the ground. They're still continuing and when I went out for groceries I parked so the wind would pull the door open, not push it shut.
