Hi! I'm posting from the public library, where I'm limited to an hour's use of the computer. I tried writing something at home and saving it to disk to upload here, but the library's computers won't read either my floppy disk or USB memory-stick. After checking job ads (Kelly's hasn't had a new assignment for me yet, and it's going on two weeks now without any income) and email and my bank balance there's no time for reflection here. Just the basics:

The cable people are due this evening to hook me up for cable internet, so my present frustrations over lack of access should be ameliorated soon. (Particularly frustrating since I haven't been able to email resumes to respond to the job ads that I've found. At least, not from here. cari_rose was kind enough to let me stop over at her place to send out a few.)

Meanwhile, I've produced some new jeweled bookmarks, including some in a whole new style that makes a loop of the ribbon (suitable for circling the pages in a book or pulling over one's head) with a single decorated end. I like them. They take half the work, still producing a nice effect. Unfortunately, I don't know how long it will be before I can show them off, since my digital camera has turned up missing. (I've looked everywhere I can think of, and am hoping that the problem is with my memory and not with one of the few people who have had access to the apartment lately.

I've also been making progress on a few other sorts of projects, and recovering from the holidays. I had a great time at Mia's music party the other night, and was glad to hear chasophonic singing again. I was only sorry that the Mnstf pool party was scheduled to conflict and that I still haven't learned to be in two places at once.

Thanks to crytel for his time ridding my home computer of some spyware; it's been running much more reliably since, and I've even been able to spend some time with my Sims again! (Maybe too much time, but since I've got some involuntary vacation time here, I may as well enjoy it.)
