Healing and the Mind

I'm looking forward to a program coming up on public television Wednesday at 7PM. It is The New Medicine, which is being promoted as a follow up to the old Healing and the Mind series. I've always been interested in the placebo effect and alternative healing approaches. (I was raised in the Christian Scientist church, and have always recognized that belief can play a role in healing, though was never convinced that this was limited to a particular set of sectarian beliefs.)

Me too - it's actually almost exactly parallel to the product I've helped develop; which is a health & wellness discount & library & tools, goal-setters, etc - pretty neat idea - harder to get implemented then one might imagine: there are so many areas to health & wellness that are not medicine/medical in the typical American manner -

I'd like to put you down for a half-hour set, 4:30 to 5 (probably more like 4:55, to give whoever plays at 5 just a little set-up time), Saturday afternoon at Minicon.
