This last week was all about MiniCon recovery. I caught up with neglected chores like laundry, shopping, dishes and general clean up - and I put away all the gear and goods that I'd brought with me to the convention. I also wrote up a detailed convention report, posted previously.

I've made several new single-loop bookmarks, using the lovely laboradorite beads I got from [livejournal.com profile] elisem at the convention.

!!Cabinet Des Fees wrote saying they'd like to use my Rapunzel drawing in their next online issue!! - it doesn't pay, but is a good forum to show my work.

Money is becoming an issue again, with May approaching and insufficient funds for rent. I went to a job interview on Monday afternoon, and worked a one-day assignment through Kelly's on Tuesday. There's another, longer term assignment in potentia, but I'll have to interview for it if they like my resume; I've also called the lead Carolyn gave me at Ameriprise, to ask for an interview. Friday I brought a load of books to Uncle Hugo's and Edgar's and got a little cash that way.

Today I posted the following items for sale on EBay:

Kodak Advantix F310 Camera
Rarely used. Good condition.

Olympus SmartMedia 16MB memory card
Flash media compatible with digital cameras. My camera was stolen, and this was the unused extra memory card.

Ricoh KR-5 Super II Camera, with flash attachment and carry bag, excellent condition (rarely used).

Last week and this morning I've continued to keep Sam's website updated. (She's now offering quiche, cookies, pilaf and pasta salads as well as her yummy homemade soups.)

Friday evening I attended the gaming party, and Saturday participated in a lively filk circle - we were joined by a couple guys who heard about us at Minicon, and 'Sandman' (one of the regular gamers, a math teacher by day) on guitar.

Sunday afternoon I took [livejournal.com profile] cari_rose out to a study/lunch (I did a crossword puzzle and worked on a survey I'm planning to post on my LJ). Her test is coming up on Wednesday and she's very tense about it. I wanted to be supportive. It was such a gorgeous day that we sat for a while in a small park in her neighborhood while we worked.

This week:

* TAXES: meet with AccountAbility tax clinic for small business owners this evening. Prep ahead of time.

* Follow up with job interviews/Kelly's

* Keep up with daily stuff

* Sell off more of my books, look for other things that might sell on Ebay.

* Earn 500 points on creative projects.

* Send out my illustration samplers to more potential publishing markets.

* Continue work on my survey.

* May Day Parade on Sunday.

I thought the May Day Parade was this Sunday too! But [livejournal.com profile] mr_chibi_jester was certain it is always "the first Sunday in May" _ and I argued it would be much further though from Mayday & Beltane makes plenty of sense for the parade! Gah - Now I have to go look it up on the internet. I hope you're right because it might be possible for [livejournal.com profile] angelo to go then - but if it's next weekend he has a big gaming event that would conflict. I'll post when I find out. =)

I'm not at all sure. I was just assuming, since it's the Sunday closest to the 1st of May. Please let me know if you find out otherwise.

Bah , it is 2 weeks out: MAY DAY 2006 - SUNDAY, MAY 7 from http://www.hobt.org/home.html

Well, the consistency of the first Sunday at least makes sense for promotions (people don't have to look it up each year & guess which weekend they selected) - ah well, looks like it's not likely [livejournal.com profile] angelo will get to go this year - maybe not "jester" either - since he's been helping Ang with events & he goes every year - well, maybe they'll take a well-earned work-break & go!

Take some time to replenish yourself too! =) Hope the job-hunt goes well.
