As usual: hurting in muscles I didn't know I had.
We wind down each lesson with the corpse pose: one of total relaxation. Our teacher makes a point of telling us that this is one of the most important things we can do in our practice: after exertion, comes relaxation: the opportunity to process what we've learned.
One of the things I'm liking best about yoga is this sense of balance between effort and relaxation, between work with the body and work with the breath, between outward and inward awareness. The more I get into it, the more I think, 'Yeah; that's how it's supposed to be.'
