I've applied a few more coats of the Art Clay (four to go!). And: below is the latest wax-resist experiment. I'm not too pleased with the resistance of the wax. A lot of light-under color got washed out (not enough contrast between under and over coats?) and didn't show through as it should, so I ended up adding more color on top of the watercolor, which is okay, but I like the effect better when the wax-resist works. I'm wondering if I ought to find a smoother quality paper for this, so the crayon applies more thickly, or melt the crayons and use some sort of applicator?
