Bejewelled

Wow. My latest round of Bejewelled finally came to an end. The final score: 15,020,873! Fifteen million!

(My previous high was 4,073,028 and the previous high before that was 1,586,875.) Even breaking one million was amazing to me at the time. There's a large element of luck in the game, which makes it more amazing to me, since I'm not used to being particularly lucky in games.

Holy sh*t!! I don't think I've ever made it to 15 THOUSAND!

Do you have the new version that creates hyper-cubes, which will destroy every gem of whichever color you connect it to? I attribute my success to getting better at creating the hypercubes; as long as you have one on tap you can get out of any otherwise stalled situation.

I have no idea what you are talking about, so i guess I don't have that version. Considering that to my knowledge hypercubes are and extension of the cube into a 4th dimension, i'm not sure I would want such a thing on my computer. Or, in actuality, my phone, which is the only place I actually have an installed copy of Bejewelled.

Definitely a different version. I can't see how you could get the full version on the tiny screen of a phone.

I have a high score on Bespelled - 78 million. I played the same game for about 6 months before I finally died.

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen Bespelled. What is it like?

I would describe it as a cross between bejeweled and Boggle. You eliminate letters by making words. Longer words are worth more points and there is usually a bonus word. e.g. spell "prison" and get an extra 50,000 or something. I found it very addictive.

That sounds very much like WhatWord, another game I like to play.

Just did a little Googling: Bespelled is a PC game, WhatWord is for Macs.
