Cautiously...

I think I have a final version of the new Filk Hymnal. I've just implemented [livejournal.com profile] thorintatge's editorial comments.

Then I went back and discovered two entire songs and a whole verse in another song that were in Times New Roman where everything else is sans serif, and then I decided that I wanted a quarter inch more of gutter space on every page and did some shuffling of text blocks and tweaking of text and illos to acheive that. I think it's finally ready for print.

Over lunch today I brought the pdf in to CopyMax and arranged to have the new books printed and bound. (Coil binding, with pocket folders as the back cover, to facilitate adding songs we come up with in the future.)

They are done! I delivered [livejournal.com profile] thorintatge's and Richard's to them at the Game Party Friday night. They look good. Not that much thicker than the old edition. The covers aren't as stiff. The pocket folder covers are cool. I made labels and put the names of all our regular filkers on each on his and her own personal copy. This leaves nine extra to hand around at convention circles or when we get some of the irregular attendees.
