Wednesday: I caught up with some chores, spent hours working on my mailing lists, did some writing.
I then went to a meet-up at the B&N in the Edina Galleria, with a couple writers from the Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators. There were only three of us there: myself and two men who are interested in writing for young boys. One had brought a few short manuscripts with him. I read a couple and offered some feedback. Next time I'll have to bring one of my own manuscripts for picture books.
I listened to old episodes of The Gilmore Girls while I worked on the mailing lists.
Thursday: More work on the shopping-cart site, testing and fixing, and adding the Alien Icon holiday cards. And then, at last, I proceeded to the first round of collation: putting together flyers with order sheets, folding and sealing with little round seals, applying the newly printed labels. This is all unduly exciting for me. My first big mailing!
When I was done with that I worked on my Holiday Letter, using my handy new data-merge skills to print the addresses.
Today: to the Post Office!
