WEEK OF July 24 - 31, 2023

My life is so much less interesting than my media interests. I've been watching episodes of Star Trek Strange New Worlds, and the original CSI, and reading cat detective mysteries and all that's going on in real life is the same old same old: I visited Terry twice this week. Her brother from Florida and sister from Portland were both visiting, so I got to meet them and finalize arrangements for helping her with a video conference call coming up on Tuesday for the guardianship hearing for Jim.

My biggest creative effort was in making a new bracelet using some stretchy elastic and new beads acquired through Temu. Meanwhile I kept up with the usual household chores and shopping.

I skipped a big family gathering on Friday evening cuz I didn't have the spoons to drive out to Bloomington late in the day, and my eyes were bothering me. I did get it together to attend Joel P's Ribfestpalooza on Saturday. I ended up not staying long; I must have come at the wrong time, because I saw only one person I knew, (aside from Joel) and him not well. I'm really only comfortable at large gatherings when I have a few familiar people around to chat with.
