WEEK OF Aug 14-21, 2023
I did more this week than I anticipated. I made appointments with my doctor and eye doctor, got in three sessions of music practice, not just mandolin, but also remembering my recorder, brought the car in to the Garage for some final bits of work,, including replacing two brakes and made my usual visits to Terry. That's on top of keeping up with laundry and other household errands.
We had some beautiful weather and I took Terry outside to enjoy it on Tuesday, but the air quality was failing by Friday, and Terry wanted to go right in again.
On Saturday I attended the Mnstf meeting/birthday party for friend HersheyH. While there I won a round of Quirkle (played with Richard T and IreneR). I didn't stay more than a couple hours and only heard later than another attendee suffered a heart attack while there. (Greg Larson; if you know him people are trying to find emergency contacts for him).
On Sunday I went to help another friend with some cider pressing. She had four bushels (at least) of apples. I probably chopped a bushel's worth, but again only stayed a couple hours. I think they'll need a couple more sessions before all the apples can be pressed. A gang of wasps were very interested in the chopped apples, but mostly ignored me.
