What a lovely and thought-provoking piece of writing. It resonates with me and my recent resurgence of creativity and writing. I mentioned Natalie Goldberg's book, Wild Mind in my journal a few posts back. You might enjoy reading it. She is a zen buddhist as well as a writer, and it very much colors the way she writes and perceives the act of writing.

Thank you! I have read a couple of Natalie Goldberg's books, including Wild Mind. They are very inspiring, and I've been thinking of going back to reread them - if I can ferret them out among my piles of other books. :)
